Gimp Shop Neon Question?

In Gimp Shop, I can make neon text by typing, gaussian blur and logo>neon. But how do I do that to an image that was imported? This is very important. (I’m making a game and I want it to look cool. )

In Gimp 2.6.2 they actually allow you to use the neon filter with anything, you’re not limited to just the text.

If that doesn’t work then pay attention to the messages that appear at the bottom of the screen when you activate the neon filter, those messages will tell you what Gimp is doing. Then you should be able to replicate the neon filter manually.

If that’s too complicated then look at your layers tab, if you have that activated, and see how many layers a neon text has and what Gimp named those layers. That should give you an indication of what you need to do.
